Baggage Tips
In light of the strict baggage screening regulations instituted by the Transportation Security Administration, here are some tips for getting your baggage through the security screening process quicker.
Travel light.
Make sure your baggage identification tags are correct.
Leave all checked baggage unlocked.
Don't over-pack your suitcases.
Shoes can set off screening alarms. Pack them on top in plastic bags so they can be easily checked.
If there are personal items that you don't want handled by the screeners, store them in clear plastic bags.
Don't put food, beverages, or undeveloped film in your checked baggage.
If you are taking gifts with you, don't wrap them. Do the gift wrapping after you get to your destination.
